What we have discovered over the last 7 years since launching Joonya, and trialling samples from manufacturers all over the world. No two diapers are created equal. They are an extremely complex product containing many materials that form the multiple layers. It requires a sophisticated, experienced and innovative manufacturer to develop a diaper that not only performs well, but it skin-safe and gentler on the earth.  

Our diapers are proudly made in Denmark by a prestigious manufacturer at the cutting edge of diaper technology. We scoured the globe in the hunt for the best supplier who shares our passion creating high performing, safe and sustainable diapers. A dedicated R&D team ensures Joonya products are amongst the highest performing, comfortable, rash free diaper options available globally. They are known for their channel technology that wicks moisture away from the skin and evenly disperses throughout the entire core. We could not find this technology in any other manufacturers outside of Europe, and it’s a non-negotiable now that we have tested and compared with the other samples.  

They have been awarded with not one, but two of the strictest environmental & safety accreditations with the Nordic Swan Eco-Label and EU Ecolabel. Both guarantee a lower eco footprint and skin safety. This means a minimal waste, state-of-the-art Nordic manufacturing process with 95% of all product waste during the manufacturing process is recycled and put back into the machines. 

We have carefully chosen the materials to be as eco-friendly and non-toxic as possible. We only use ingredients approved according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, which means they are safe for your baby and chosen with care for the environment. 

The hypoallergenic top sheet touching your babies’ skin is made from soft, breathable GMO Free Green PE non-woven (sugar cane derived) and PLA (typically corn starch derived) renewable materials. Designed to keep skin dry, comfortable and minimise allergy and rash. 

Our breathable cotton-feel back sheet (PE & PP) is silky soft, moisture repellent but allows air to circulate and prevent irritation. The sunshine print colour is non-toxic and free from harsh chemicals.

The label has strict requirements for a product’s entire life cycle concerning health, quality, and environment, and looks at raw materials, product composition and waste, quality, distribution, packaging, and disposal.

Yes, our diapers are designed to be unisex and your baby’s weight will be the best guide to selecting a size. With each baby having somewhat of a unique shape, if there is any doubt about which size is suitable (the weight may suit more than one size), then we recommend our trial offer.

Yes, our skin-friendly diapers are designed especially to protect sensitive skin and reduce the risk of allergies and diaper rash. The super absorbent core uses the latest innovative channel technology to lead moisture away from skin and minimise contact, to keep your child dry for longer.  

We believe you deserve full transparency regarding the ingredients that come in contact with your child’s skin. Therefore, everything that goes into the making of Joonya products is revealed in our ingredients list and independent chemical testing is performed by Eurofins laboratory. The results are published on our website. 

The prestigious German Dermatest Seal confirms our nappies have passed rigorous patch testing on sensitive skin. No rash or allergic reaction was evident in the sample group. 

Allergy Certified confirms all our materials have been carefully examined by a toxicologist for allergens, impurities, carcinogens & endocrine disrupting chemicals. We successfully passed the allergy risk assessment. 

No. European made diapers are known for being thin and light as can be. This enhances the child’s freedom of movement, enables us to fit more diapers in each bag and use as little raw materials as needed. 

Danish diapers use innovative channel technology to lead moisture away from the skin keeping your child dry for longer. The wood fibers in the absorbent core is called “fluff”. Fluff is a soft, highly absorbent material from sustainable and well managed FSC®(Forest Stewardship Council)-certified forests. is short for “super absorbent polymer”. SAP ‘super absorbent polymer’ is the key component of the absorbent core and what keeps your baby comfortable and dry. The SAP we use is approved by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and completely safe for your baby’s skin. 

If the diaper is leaking, we find that it's usually because your baby is in the wrong size diaper. 

Check how the diaper is fitting on your baby. If there are red marks around your baby's tummy or thighs, or if the diaper feels a little too snug, it might be time to move up a size. If you're getting blowouts or persistent leaks, that can be another sign that it's time to move up. 

Sometimes the problem can be that the diaper is too big. If there are gaps around the legs and tummy, or the diaper is sitting too high at the front or back, you may need to try a smaller size. 

We make it easy for you to try different sizes with our trial packs. You can try a couple of nappies to check the fit before you commit to buying a full pack or carton. 

We are very proud to be featuring this logo, which means at least 70% of the wood fluff in our diaper core comes from responsibly managed forests that are independently certified to FSC standards. The remainder comes from controlled wood sources. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) ensures the harvest of timber products maintains the forest’s biodiversity, productivity, and ecological processes. It means that forest operations are structured and managed to be sufficiently profitable, without generating financial profit at the expense of the forest resource, the ecosystem, or affected communities.
