Back in April of 2018 we wrote a brief article called “the story of Joonya so far” in this blog here.
It’s high time we did an update, and gave you a peek into our future plans.
Since that article plenty has happened and its been quite a journey. We moved back from Bali in late 2018 to the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney so that we could be home for the launch of nappies, which have been well received by our customers…phew! We also moved to a new website and have continued to work on improving the user experience for our subscribers.
Then the pandemic rolled in earlier this year and played havoc on everyone…and we were not spared!
After seeing a huge sales spike that was nothing short of exhilarating, it was all for nothing. Like driving a speeding car over a cliff, we quickly ran out of wipes and our supplier was unable to replenish. For several months we ticked along with nappies only, and then roared back to life in July when the new containers of wipes arrived…a sigh of relief that our loyal subscribers chose not to abandon us!
The experience of the pandemic prompted us to move our supply closer to home and we managed to sign a contract with a premium manufacturer in the beautiful clean, green country of New Zealand. The wipes have now been made and will be in our warehouses in November. Once we run out of the old stock in each warehouse, we will begin sending off the new wipes towards the end of the year. The formula has the same ingredients but we are confident you will love the few minor tweaks.
New products are also on the horizon, and more details will be shared closer to launch. Suffice to say there is some cool stuff coming and we are super excited to be able to offer more to our loyal customers. As if that is not enough, the decision has also been made to return to the USA, and launch into the European market as well. Our wipes have been registered for the EU market as a cosmetic product, a process that is extremely rigorous with the highest of standards. By December we should be live in both markets.
Once again we’d like to say how thankful we are for the support of our wonderful customers. We see many names who have been with us for the past four years continuing to buy. Your names are etched into our brains – know that!
